So, you’ve taken an Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy introductory course, and you don’t know where to go from here? Or perhaps you’ve been in the Orofacial Myology field for a while, and you’re still not seeing results in your patients?

I get it.

Believe it or not, I have been exactly where you are now. I was the clinician who sat through an introductory class, had my mind blown by the information, then got home and thought, “Oh crap, now what?”

I’ve attended countless classes by amazing instructors. Still, no matter what courses I took, I felt like something was lacking in my education. I was missing the science behind the art of therapy. I craved to know why this therapy worked. I had to stop being spoon-fed information and start thinking critically.

I needed a lightbulb moment.

This is why I created ABOUT FACE. I want to provide a 180° turn from every Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy course available. My goal is to teach OMT professionals how to understand the science behind craniofacial growth and development and learn to customize treatment plans for patients—regardless of the introductory course you’ve already taken.

By the end of this course, you will have the confidence to collaborate with other professionals and get the results in your patients currently eluding you. Ready to learn more?

When I first started as an Orofacial Myofunctional Therapist, seeing results in my patients was like taking a shot in the dark. Sometimes I hit the mark, sometimes I didn’t. Today, I’ve been a professional in this field for a decade, and I want to help other therapists learn how to fit the puzzle pieces together in a way that was never available to me.

I want you to hit the mark with every patient, every time.

Does any of this sound familiar?

  • I’ve taken so many introductory courses, but I don’t know where to go from here
  • I don’t know how to take my current myo program and customize it for every patient
  • Applying my knowledge is too overwhelming – maybe I’m not cut out for this…
  • No matter how much research I do, I still don’t know what order to teach myo exercises in

If you relate to any of this, then you’ve come to the right place. Clinicians like you are the reason I created this course. Rather than take years to learn everything on your own, I’ve condensed all of the information and science you need into one course.

ABOUT FACE will teach you how to take any exercise learned from classes you have already taken and understand the purpose behind the exercise.

About Face is broken down into five easy-to-follow modules

Module 1: Decoding the Face
Your “myo-eyes” can spot major dysfunction a mile away, but do you recognize the subtle signs of Orofacial Myofunctional Disorders? This module teaches how to spot covert signs of poor oral rest posture based on the appearance of the face and oral cavity.

Module 2: Deep Dive into Development
You already know that form and function have a bi-directional relationship, but can you explain the science behind that belief? A deeper dive into this concept will help you understand the scientific principles behind bone growth, bone remodeling and muscle development so you can know why and how these myo principles work.

Module 3: Get Handsy
We have entered the age of tele-everything! It’s possible you only took an online introductory course, and you only treated online teletherapy patients until this point. You may have taken in-person training, but have you completed a hands-on patient assessment? This module will teach you to put that earned knowledge into hands-on action.

Module 4: Remediation Roadmap
At this point in the course, you can easily recognize Orofacial Myofunctional Disorders, you grasp the science behind the therapy, and you’re gaining confidence with proper assessment. Now, it’s time to figure out how to treat the problem using the exercises you already have – regardless of the manual you use!

Module 5: Party Line
One day, you will treat a patient whose OMD goes beyond simple Orofacial Myology exercises. At this point, you will need to consult with other industry professionals – bodyworkers, oral surgeons, ENTs, orthodontists, etc. The final module teaches you how to “speak the same language” and effectively communicate your patient’s case.

This course is 6.5 hours of information you can’t get anywhere else! In addition to the video modules, About Face includes a workbook to use throughout the course, downloadable marketing collateral, a Quick Reference Guide, and a Tongue Thrust Graphic. You will also receive an official Certificate of Completion.

So, are you ready to do an ABOUT FACE?

Common FAQs

How is this information different from your Foundations Course?

FOUNDATIONS is an introductory course in Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy. It’s a fantastic two-hour course designed to take you back to the basics and understand the fundamentals of OMT. About Face takes that earned knowledge and teaches you how to apply it in your practice.

How will this help me professionally in this field?

After completing About Face, you will be able to apply any exercise from any program and put together a sequence from start to finish, completely customized for your patient. You will understand the purpose behind the exercises you know, confidently treat OMDs hands-on, and, most importantly, start seeing results in your patients.

How long do I have access to this product?

That’s the best part – once you purchase the course, it’s yours for life! You can refer back to it whenever you need to.

My drive and thirst for knowledge set me apart from other OMT instructors. My superpower is taking difficult-to-understand information and breaking it down into simple, easy-to-comprehend pieces.

Basically, I put it into “Lehman’s Terms.”

I didn’t create About Face to spoon-feed you information. I want to teach professionals in this field to understand how to learn better. I want to teach you how to think for yourself and be the best therapist you can be.
